For years, the Djavad Mowafaghian Foundation (DMF) has been inspired b)’ the work of world-renowned pediatric oncology researchers at BC Children’s Hospital. ln November 2021, DMF made the decision to generously support transformational research for kids and their families facing pediatric cancers.

Mojgan Mowafaghian is the eldest daughter of DJavad Mowafaghian. Caring for others was central to her being, and she demonstrated this even through her own battle with cancer. Mojgan’s passion for her community and her deep involvement in humanitarian efforts never wavered.

Inspired by her courage, determination and grace, the Djavad Mowafaghian Foundation has honoured Mojgan through the naming of the Mojgan Mowafaghian Hospital Chair in Oncology Research at BC Children’s Hospital.

Hamid Eshghi has been the President of the Djavad Mowafaghian Foundation for twenty years and proudly ensures the legacy of his dear uncle Djavad continues to inspire and touch the lives of countless children and families across the province, country and around the world.
