What We Fund

How We Work

To bring about the kinds of changes that will help people live healthier and more productive lives, the Board of Directors listens and learns so they can identify pressing problems that require attention. They then weigh if they can make a meaningful difference.

The strategies have emerged through a process of identifying what they want to accomplish for people and where they can have the greatest impact.

They strive to make selective, high-quality evaluation an integral part of how the work of the Foundation is carried out.

How To Apply

The Foundation provides funding exclusively to Canadian institutions that are classified by Canada Revenue Agency as Registered Canadian Charities.

Applications should be concise and include the following:

  • full name and address
  • Canada Revenue Agency registered Charity number
  • the reason funding is being requested and what the funds will be used for
  • brief outline of the applicant’s organization and mandate contact information

What We Do Not Fund

In keeping with our Charter, we do not provide funding to individuals.

We do not make grants outside of our funding priorities, as determined by the Board of Directors.

We do not fund political campaigns or legislative lobbying efforts.

We do not fund projects that exclusively serve religious purposes.

We do not fund organizations that are not registered as a Charity under the Income Tax Act of Canada.
