It is with profound sadness that we bid farewell to Djavad Mowafaghian, our beloved friend, father, uncle, and patriarch.

“Children are our world’s most priceless gift.” These are the words of Djavad Mowafaghian, a philanthropist who has transformed the lives of countless children and youth and created positive and lasting change around the world.

The board (of the Djavad Mowafaghian Foundation) — who recognize the far-reaching effects of homelessness in Vancouver — has turned their attention to organizations like Covenant House Vancouver, Coast Mental Health, and the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre in recent years.
