The new Arts Education Centre provides a place where young artists can cultivate their creativity in arts education in Art, Design, Dance, Theatre, Film and Music. When young people connect with the arts, they gain self-confidence, develop self-discipline and discover creative expression – qualities they carry for life.

Arts Umbrella currently serves 24,000 young people across Greater Vancouver annually, with more than 80% served through bursaries, scholarships and donor-funded programs. This new facility reaches children and youth through tuition-based programs, as well as community programs and performances and distance learning.

The Djavad Mowafaghian Foundation extends congratulations on the opening of this state-of-the-art space which is dedicated to arts education for young people.
