The Intellectual Disabilities Society Provides Support and Care to Individuals with Cognitive Disabilities

Its vision is a world where all people with disabilities have equal opportunities to lead active, fulfilling lives and are recognized as contributing members of the community.
For more than 65 years, the Intellectual Disabilities Society (formerly known as North Shore ConneXions)  has fostered an environment of inclusion by supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.  It provides quality programs and services which support the development, independence and empowerment of adults, children and families.

They also work in partnership with society members and the community to advocate for the development of a full range of community-based services that meet each person’s unique needs.

The staff seek to discover and honour the interests, talents, skills and aspirations of individuals they serve so that they can live the lives they choose.  The Djavad Mowafaghian Foundation is proud to be a part of its community.
