The production is adapted from the Shahnameh, an Irian epic poem published in 1010. Nine performers and 483 shadow puppets play against stunning animated projections in this epic. Created and directed by Hamid Rahmanian, the cast of actors, puppeteers and handmade puppets create a spectacular experience that advances themes of love, unity and collaboration. The Song of the North is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Persia, the Shahnameh and its timeless relevance.
