The Mowafaghian Foundation donated $3-million to establish the Mojgan Mowafaghian Hospital Chair in Oncology Research at BC Children’s Hospital.
The Mojgan Mowafaghian Hospital Chair in Oncology Research at BC Children’s Hospital was established through a $3 million pledge from the Mowafaghian Foundation in honour of the late Mojgan Mowafaghian, whose life was marked by deep compassion for others and who sadly passed away from cancer at the age of 53.
The Chair supports transformative pediatric oncology research at BC Children’s Hospital, helping advance treatments and improve outcomes for children facing cancer. The inaugural Chairholder, Dr. Rebecca Deyell, is a leader in pediatric oncology whose work reflects a deep commitment to innovation, compassionate care, and improved outcomes for children and families.
